Canal & Filling

What is Root Canal & Filling Treatment?
Root canal and filling treatment are two important applications performed to treat infected or damaged tissues located inside the tooth. Root canal treatment is applied when there is an infection or damage in the pulp (nerves and vessels) located inside the tooth. In this case, an opening is made from the upper part of the tooth, the infected tissues are cleaned and the inside of the canal is disinfected and then closed with a special filling material.
Filling treatment is the process of cleaning the cavities in the tooth and filling the gaps with a material compatible with the tooth. Both treatments protect the tooth and reduce the risk of pain and infection.
Frequently Asked Questions!
If you have any questions or concerns regarding treatment, do not hesitate to contact our specialist.
Why is root canal treatment performed?
Root canal treatment is used to save teeth that have been damaged by decay or trauma. The infected tissues inside the tooth are cleaned, disinfected and sealed with a special filling material. This prevents tooth extraction and preserves the natural tooth structure.
When is filler treatment necessary?
When there are conditions such as decay, cracks or fractures in the teeth, filling treatment is performed. The decayed part is cleaned and covered with a suitable filling material. In this way, the function and aesthetics of the tooth are preserved.
Is root canal treatment a painful procedure?
Since local anesthesia is applied during the procedure, the patient does not feel pain. There may be slight sensitivity after the treatment, but this is temporary and can be controlled with painkillers.
Which type of filling should be preferred?
Composite (white filling) or porcelain fillings can be preferred in filling selection. According to the current treatment approach, we do not use amalgam (silver filling). The most appropriate filling type is determined by considering aesthetic concerns and the position of the tooth.

Long-Lasting and Durable
When applied correctly and cared for properly, root canal treatment can maintain its durability for many years and prevent tooth loss.
Supports the Jaw Structure
It helps preserve oral and jaw health by preventing jaw bone loss that may occur after tooth loss.
Does not harm adjacent teeth
Compared to bridge or implant treatments, the procedure is performed only on the relevant tooth without the need to cut the neighboring teeth.
Aesthetic and Comfortable
It offers comfortable use without damaging the smile aesthetics by preserving the structure of the natural tooth.
Improves Speech and Chewing Functions
